How to Replace Flush Mount Light Fixtures
Flush mount light fixtures – Recessed lighting, also known as pot lighting or lighting can be used for many lighting applications. You can also find in many areas of the house for accent lighting and wall washing to highlight images and make the rooms look bigger. Having some prior electrical knowledge to replace a ceiling mount kitchen light pot with recessed lighting is a plus but is not required to complete the task.
Flush mount light fixtures, turn off power to the lighting circuit by turning the switch to the “Off” position inside the main service panel. Remove the shade and lamp bulbs in the kitchen. Remove the screws that secure the unit to the ceiling junction box with the appropriate screwdriver. Disconnect the unit from the ceiling light house wiring to untangle the cable connectors that hold the wires together.
Flush mount light fixtures, remove the original ceiling junction box by loosening the screws holding it to your support. If the ceiling junction box nails on the stand, place a small piece of wood inside the box and hit the wood with a hammer, hitting the box support. Remove the cable from the original connection box and pull it through the opening in the roof.
