How to Connect Pull Chain Light Fixture
Pull chain light fixture switches are switches often cost plastic inserts in nickel or brass to complement the color of the lamp. The constant use of the pull chain switch may cause the switch to break, leaving a light on or off permanently.
Education to connect pull chain light fixture: disconnect the electric power. Turn off the switch. Remove the light shade and light bulbs if applicable. Pull out the unit from the ceiling and untangle the wire connectors holding the white wire from the lamp and the white wire from the electrical ceiling together.
Remove the old pull chain switch lamp and replace with a new. Connect the black wire from the lamp to a black wire from the pull chain switch twisting an orange wire connector on both wires.
Twist an orange wire connector to the black wire from the electrical ceiling to the black wire of the remaining pull chain switch, connecting them together. Reconnect the two white wires together to another cable connector orange. Twist an orange wire connector on the bare copper wire from the electrical ceiling wire connecting it with the green lamp.
Replace the lamp to the ceiling electrical box with the screws. Turn on the electricity to connect pull chain light fixture.
